Carol's lifelong connection to horses and country living began as a teenager when she first discovered North Salem. After managing a large boarding and training stable for nine years, she founded Artemis Farm in 1972, where she trained both adults and children. As a judge with the American Horse Shows Association, she officiated at major competitions across the U.S. and Canada for more than 100 days each year-earning a national reputation for professionalism and fairness.
Her transition to real estate in 1989 was a natural extension of her community ties and business acumen. Now an Associate Broker with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices, Carol continues to represent many of North Salem's most significant properties and clients. Her lifelong familiarity with the area enables her to guide clients not only in finding the perfect home but also in connecting with trusted local resources-from stables to contractors and landscapers.

Beyond her real estate career, Carol has made lasting contributions to local conservation and the arts. She served as President of the North Salem Open Land Foundation from 1989 to 2004 and continues to serve on its Board of Trustees and in addition is on the board of the No. Salem Bridle Trails . She also founded a successful fine art business and was a member of the Private Art Dealers Association in New York City. Together with her late husband, Jesse, an American furniture dealer, she established Artemis Gallery, which exhibited at premier East Coast antique shows.
A passionate, self-taught gardener, Carol's home- Artemis Farm-was featured for many years on the Open Days Tours of The Garden Conservancy and has been published seven times in national magazines, including Victoria and Old House Journal.
